A former PTI figure, Faisal Vawda, said on Saturday that even though negotiations with the establishment appear blocked, the party must nonetheless find a pathway to initiate dialogue so talks with the establishment can begin, according to 24NewsHD TV.
In an interview with 24News TV host Nasim Zehra, Vawda argued that resolving the country’s problems hinges on discussion. “I’ve been emphasizing this for quite a while,” he remarked.
He then criticized what he called an ongoing attack on the Pakistan Army by PTI leaders and social media activists, noting that the army has already secured victory over India. “Our soldiers are shedding blood for the nation, yet some people continue to malign them. That’s deeply unfortunate,” he said.
Vawda urged PTI leaders to focus on national issues and to debate their political opponents. “You’re free to criticize me. You’re welcome to do so. But it’s troubling to witness a pattern of insults, violence, and agitation,” he lamented.
The politician warned that no one should expect retaliation to silence opponents simply because they are attacked verbally.
He lamented that reasonable voices within PTI were being silenced and not allowed to express themselves, noting that some of them were even targeted by party members online.
Vawda recalled his opposition to a narcotics case filed against PML-N veteran Rana Sanaullah and said Imran Khan, the former prime minister and PTI founder, now finds himself at a dead end.
He asserted that if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi retreats by twenty steps, the establishment would advance by one step.
Finally, he warned that the countdown has begun for those engaged in anti-state propaganda.
